About Our Founder - Keystar Insurance Services

I’m Mayra Menjivar, a business owner, insurance broker, mother, and creative at heart. I have been drawn to the business field for most of my life and have been a business owner since ‘05.

I grew up in the age where I didn’t have the option to ‘just google it’.

I didn’t have social media, I didn’t have coaches, and I didn’t have an Ivy League education to prove my worthiness in business.

I was raised by a young, single, and struggling mother and although I did become a young single mother myself, I was determined that history would not repeat itself.

Yes my son has been my driving force to create a better life, to break the traditional rules, to be fearless in pursuit of magic – because…

So I made it my mission to prove just that. I’ve been fortunate enough to have worked with many business owners, managers, employees, and clients across multiple cultures and backgrounds—ranging from small mom-and-pops to very large corporations. Over the years I’ve broadly experienced this field and have come to understand that each individual business is unique, complex, and important in its own way.

I have seen and experienced firsthand, the many challenges that businesses face. I’ve seen how greedy insurance companies can be and how they put policies over people. I’ve learned many lessons; I have grown professionally and personally, and now I want to share what I know with you. My journey has led me to create this company. A company that helps you unlock doors, unlock dreams, and unlock potential to future possibilities.

I know what it’s like to not have a support system. So this is my opportunity to give back, to give others opportunity to the possibilities they thought impossible.

I enjoy seeing the underdog win, the broken become unbroken. As an ethnic female, I’m a double minority. Therefore I have a special understanding of the barriers standing in the way of financial and personal success in modern society. This knowledge has enabled me to communicate with all kinds of people in the business world, and help them achieve their diverse business goals. This has ultimately led to the creation of KeyStar Insurance Services.

This company was created to empower business owners and to educate them on how to properly protect what’s most important to them—such as personal, family, home, and business assets. I want to help you protect your baby/business/dream!

When you know you are protected, it automatically gives you the confidence to be able to make the right decisions and take control over your future. Resulting in security but most importantly, peace of mind.

Through and through I could have given up, I could have been discouraged and shut the door on my own success. Most people do give up and I get it. This brings me to the why behind it all. There’s so much misinformation out there and I want to guide existing and aspiring business owners in the right direction. I genuinely enjoy mentoring and empowering and just being supportive because I didn’t have that. But also, what other career will allow you to connect with many different people on a constant basis?

I love learning + researching – you learn so much from people with a passionate dream. There’s something to be learned from everyone.

So I’m dedicated to offering my clients the very best insurance options, as well as valuable business resources + guidance. I do this by building relationships with others in the industry then I help my clients by providing access to these connections. I’m committed to helping you win and fulfill my role of providing that security, protection and peace of mind.
